As part of the Contact State campaign for clearer regulation and certification of the lead generation industry, Contact State partnered with LifeSearch (the UKs largest life insurance broker) and produced 'Protecting the protectors', a white paper focused on lead generation.
Released in mid-June 2020 the white paper sets out the key regulatory components that govern financial services advertising and challenges some of the myths that exist around how consumer leads can be generated.
The paper's main function was to set out a proposed system of data certification which the authors (Emma Walker, Alain Desmier and Mike Laming) championed as a way of tackling fraudulent adverts.
After its release, the paper received significant interest in the Life Insurance trade press in both Cover magazine and FT Adviser.
